Day 7 Evening Training

After dinner the boys juggled in the castle courtyard before heading over the Durham Cathedral for a brief visit and then for a short walk through Durham to the training grounds for a light practice session.

Durham Cathedral is widely considered to be the greatest Norman Building in Britan. Together with the Castle, it is a World Heritage site. It remains an active place of worship and the Shrine of St Cuthbert. One of the tour guides pointed out the family shield of George Washington's family and the boys were interested to learn that the stars and stripes represented therein formed the design for the American flag.

Training was light with stretching, ball work and game of soccer golf. The coaches gave the boys a couple of hours of free time in the town before lights out at 11 PM.
